Homo Naledi
One of Creationist’s favorite points of ridicule of evolution is the mistaken presupposition that there is no evidence of transitional species, or that there are breaks in the chain of knowledge of transitional species.
The chain, broken or not, is still a chain. More missing links are yet to be found, others never will be found.
Homo Naledi was found deep inside a South African cave called Rising Star in 2013.
The expedition and excavation, it’s findings, shattered preconceptions and beginning hypotheses are documented in another YouTube video.
The video is a pretty amazing two hours and change. Along the way, witness the ecstatic delight and joy they express when they find their preconceived ideas are all wrong, they’ve discovered something previously unknown and will have to Science Out a fresh hypothesis.
Anyway, Creationist godsplainer, con-man, ex-con and all-round smarm Kent Hovind created a YouTube video disputing one of the very things he’s long insisted upon, yet another transitional species, this one in the human family, Homo Naledi.
When presented with exactly the type of evidence he’s long demanded, he typically backpedals muttering about ‘kinds’ again.
Compare the joy experienced by Lee Berger and his crew at Rising Star as they work hard in hazardous conditions in the field and as excruciatingly detailed work is carried out in laboratories with Hovind’s whiny apologetics from his bedroom.
