Freedom of Religion should be that, just that and only that.
Anyone of or over the age of what is considered legal responsibility should be free to contemplate and harbor whatever superstitious beliefs they choose.
Superstitious, yes, if beliefs include things supernatural they are by definition, superstitious.
Religious proponents, if your belief systems are to have any veracity, the beliefs themselves should be convincing to legally responsible adults.
If the only effective means your beliefs have of being propagated to future generations is via indoctrination of innocent children, your beliefs are unfounded, unsubstantiated and unsustainable.
If your beliefs cannot withstand adult scrutiny, the scrutiny is not the problem.
In no ways should such beliefs be taught, imposed, indoctrinated or inculcated upon anyone under the age of legal responsibility.
Freedom to believe does not include freedom to impose those beliefs on trusting, impressionable children.
Anyone is free to share and discuss their superstitious beliefs with other legally responsible adults, children are off limits.
I.D. checking door wardens should be checking I.D. at Church doorways of anyone who appears under the age of 40, the same requirement for alcohol purchases at WalMart. Only those verified over the age of 18 or 21 should be admitted.
The same requirement should apply to all religious schools.
Indoctrination of children into superstitious beliefs should be considered and treated as the psychological child abuse that it is, there should be serious legal consequences.
